Who is advertising

Every price, lease, and special on this site is an advertisement of Platinum Volkswagen LLC. Each advertised price is for one vehicle, in stock at this dealership, unless the card says call for price. We do not advertise a car that is not here and then switch you to another one.

New York — in effect

• Advertised price is the selling price. It includes the $175 documentary fee — the New York amount this store collects on a new or used purchase, whether lease, finance, or cash — and excludes tax, title, and registration.
• The chat on this site is an AI assistant. It is not a person at the store and not a recording of an employee. New York General Business Law §396-b requires a clear label when an advertisement uses a synthetic performer.
• Lemon-law copy stays at 18,000 miles or two years until a new statute is signed. Lemon law notice.
• Used-car “as-is” language does not waive the Used Car Lemon Law warranty when that law applies.

Cash / Final Price

A price on a vehicle card is our advertised selling price for that stock number plus a $175 dealer documentary fee, exclusive of tax, title, and registration. Tax depends on where the vehicle is registered — we do not quote a New York-only tax rate on a nationwide page. NY AG guidelines require that figure to be the actual purchase price and that we say, next to it, that it includes everything except those government fees. The $175 fee applies to new and used, whether you lease, finance, or pay cash. We do not advertise a price and add that fee later.

“Save $X” is MSRP minus Final Price. MSRP is the Monroney sticker, not a “list” we made up. There is no MSRP on used cars. One at this price unless we say how many.

Leases (Regulation M / NY AG)

A monthly payment is a trigger term. Each lease card must state that it is a lease, the amount due at signing, number and amount of payments, whether a security deposit is required, mileage allowance and excess-mile charge, and the VIN. Due at signing is shown with the payment — not only in 8-point type. $0 down ads must disclose all inception amounts with equal prominence. Not all customers qualify.

New lease specials are VIN-specific. If a card is missing amount due at signing, it is not a complete offer — ask the desk.

APR and bonuses (Regulation Z)

APR, term, example payment per $1,000, who qualifies, expiration, and “on approved credit” belong with the headline rate. National bonuses cannot be stacked with special APR or special lease unless VWoA says so. See finance specials.

Add-ons and Drive Easy

Protection products are optional. We do not pack them into an advertised price. FTC Section 5 still bars worthless add-ons and charges without informed consent, even though the CARS Rule was vacated.

Trade-in

Online estimates are not guaranteed offers. NY AG treats a guaranteed allowance regardless of condition as deceptive. The number becomes real after we see the car in Hicksville.
